Until recently, Opinion Outpost sported a dated website which made taking their surveys (which were otherwise quite good) a bit of a headache. Now with a fresh interface and an easier to navigate website, it’s worth taking a closer look at this survey site if you’re looking to earn a some extra pocket money.
Opinion Outpost is run and owned by Dynata, a company with a range of survey panels under its belt like One Opinions, Valued Opinions and more. However, Opinion Outpost is my pick of the bunch. There’s a few things this survey site does well (and of course a few which could be done better). This is all discussed below.

Opinion Outpost Survey Review 2023
How to Get Started
Signing up to Opinion Outpost is easy and free to do. You can get started here.
There is some basic profile information required like your name, email address, date of birth, marital status etc. It takes about 10 minutes to complete this information and I received 5 points for providing it.
This is how they match their surveys to you – however this process is not perfect because before each individual survey there is a short questionnaire to see if you are a perfect match for the survey.
I recommend you fill in 100% of your profile information (this is a requirement to reach diamond status level, mentioned below).
How to Earn Points
The main way to make money with Opinion Outpost is to take their surveys. From your dashboard you’ll see a button titled ‘Take A Survey’ which will present you with an opportunity to earn points from surveys.
You can also do the occasional product testing and get paid for watching advertisements and other activities.
How Much Money Can You Make
A single survey usually pays between 5 to 50 points where 50 points is equal to £2.50. These usually take me under 20 minutes to complete. Other activities like watching adverts generally pay less.
You’ll earn more points the higher your membership level reaches which will increase the more surveys you complete and the more activities you fulfil (one of these is filling in profile information). Membership ranges from bronze, silver, gold, platinum and the highest level – diamond.
My Opinion Outpost survey offers vary – some months I receive many (over 5), others not so many.
How to Redeem Points?
By far one of the best attributes of this site is just how fast rewards are processed. I’ve rarely waited longer than a few minutes to receive a PayPal redemption (it happens almost instantaneously). You can redeem this when you have just £5 in your account.
They have quite a few other options too when it comes to virtual gift cards, although their list of rewards isn’t huge compared to some sites.
Things to Consider
There are a couple of things to keep in mind when using Opinion Outpost to make money.
You will get survey offers sent to you via email. This can result in a lot of emails (and feel a bit spammy) however it’s the only way to be notified of surveys (unless you login to the website frequently). Unfortunately, they don’t have a survey app.
There’s also been the occasional glitch reported – like random disqualifications from surveys when nearly complete and also random account closures. Hopefully, this doesn’t happen to you (it hasn’t happened to me yet).
Summary – 4.0 / 5
If you simply want to know whether Opinion Outpost is a legit site to take surveys, the answer is a very clear yes. This site pays out over £350,000 per month in rewards, has members in the UK, USA and Canada and is a trusted company when it comes to providing their third parties with reliable data. But will it work well for you? The only way to know is to try it out.
